take 2: here we go

several comedians have been quoted as saying, "you need to start strong and end strong"
it is well established that i am NOT a comedian.
i only bring this up because of the material in this first informative post is not only 'not strong' but possibly quite weak and WAY too informative.
but as i'm sure it's no shock to anyone, it contains a story of pooping.
and away we go ...

this morning while contemplating the fastest, easiest breakfast to make our two year old son Kieran, i came across a box of instant oatmeal and thought, "instant. how much faster can you get?"
so in my new-found laziness, i also thought, "i could go for some instant oatmeal too. why not?"

great plan.
instant breakfast.
almost no clean up involved.
but, ... oh wait.
what's going on here.

the "instant" in instant oatmeal apparently does not refer to the speed with which it is prepared.
but rather the steadfast effect it has traveling the length of a regular digestive system.
instant oatmeal my ass!
wait.
would that be considered a pun?
i think from now on i'll stick to my usual breakfast staples and wait until i'm much older and NEED instant oatmeal. or as i will now refer to it, "super colon flush"

not to worry.
this thing won't be strictly poop and fart stories.
that's just all we had going on this morning.

ironic twist ... Kieran has yet to "take care of his business" so we can get dressed and get going about our day.
go figure?

  1. We eat the quick oats on occasion and find similar results
